New Emergency Department Serving the Public at Compass Memorial Healthcare
On Monday, September 8 Compass Memorial Healthcare (CMH) officially opened its new, state-of-the-art Emergency Department featuring eight emergency rooms, a dedicated decontamination area, infusion room and a two-bay controlled atmosphere private ambulance entrance.
CMH hosted an open house where four hundred community members toured the facilities and learned more about the hospital’s expanded services. The updated department reflects CMH’s ongoing commitment to delivering exceptional care to the communities it serves.
“We’re very proud of the Emergency Department addition and eager to serve our patients and communities.” Said Barry Goettsch, Chief Executive Officer. “We strive to provide services close to home that you can trust. We have exceptional team members and equip them with the best tools to ensure every patient receives the highest level of care, not only in the Emergency Department, but throughout our entire organization.”
The new Emergency Department is easily accessible from Main Street to Lafayette Street. Hospital signage has been established at Main Street and Lafayette Street to direct you north on Lafayette to the hospital campus. Additional way-finding signs are clearly positioned to assist patients and visitors upon arrival.
