She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in Advanced Nursing Practice at the University of Iowa in 2014, building upon a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Mount Mercy College in 2010, and a Bachelor of Arts in both Psychology and Sociology from the University of Iowa in 2001.
